From extensive preconstruction meetings to creating the Site Specific Safety Plan, Capform does not leave safety to chance, but considers it a fundamental part of the building process.
The Capform Safety program is developed with specific industry hazards in mind, often exceeding the OSHA standards. Workers are trained on the various forming systems from the new hire process to the on-the-job meetings.
Capform has attained a best in class rating with insurance carriers due to the safety training centers found in each region, all equipped with hands-on demonstrations complete with shoring frames, column forms, horizontal lifelines and ladders that are designed to fulfill each client’s requirements. Every foreman on site must attain the OSHA 30 Hour Card along with current CPR training, and they are encouraged to continue to regularly update their specialized training.
We provide each of our regions with its own safety director who manages individual site safety coordinators, all of whom report to the Corporate Safety Director. Capform Safety Coordinators are well trained in the fundamentals of leadership as well as specific safety courses such as the OSHA 510 and 500 that are updated to meet industry standards.
The benefit to your project goes further than just accident prevention. With a thorough, robust positive safety culture, Capform will avoid the costly production delays that happen when accidents occur. Our safety culture sets the standard for the rest of the trades when we provide an accident-free environment that avoids recordable incidents. The pride of sending workers home safe to their families every day is our core value.
One way we do that is by being well prepared for any contingency. For instance, we have a 25-acre yard in Dallas, as well as a 10-acre yard in Tampa, where we stockpile all of our form-work material and capital equipment including custom systems and specialized designs.
The Florida yard may be smaller but it’s every bit as capable as the Texas yard. Together, they form a talented, experienced team of flexible, on-call experts who can provide a variety of services, material and equipment as needed. It is this combination of accessibility and experienced specialists that allow us to fabricate virtually all of our formwork in our yards so we can arrive at the job site well-prepared and ready for installation.
Self-sufficient means paying attention to the details too. Behind the scenes, our in-house engineers test our equipment well beforehand. The Texas yard is fully equipped with a tower crane and both yards have multiple forklifts to handle and ship our systems to sites as needed.
It’s important to us that we do all these things right because it’s the combination of all these details that give us a distinctive advantage in being able to provide the best performance … and the best customer service.
